New Acquisition Fuels Expansion

Posted 2 months ago

We are pleased to share that our investors,  Aliter LLP (Aliter) have confirmed the acquisition of Bates IT,  joining us as the second acquisition on the journey to create a leading national critical network infrastructure and ICT managed services business.

Established in 1961, Bates IT operates across the UK, delivering a wide range of ICT managed and support services to critical UK ICT infrastructure, with a core focus on customers in the private and public healthcare sector.

Simon Fieldhouse, Group CEO, said, “The team at Bates IT is a great cultural fit with ITM. Their highly developed specialist experience with long-established customer engagements in the healthcare sector opens exciting growth opportunities for the business. This aligns with our intended development of a specialist healthcare practice within a nationwide critical network and ICT infrastructure service business, delivering an extended managed service portfolio to our customers. Importantly, the companies also share Bates IT and ITM Communications share a customer-centric focus on service delivery and are equally dedicated to their staff, investment in sustainability and compliance”.

Greig Brown, Aliter Partner said, “The acquisition of Bates IT supports Aliter’s strategy of developing a scaled, UK leading provider of critical network infrastructure services to blue chip customers across a range of non-cyclical sectors. We are very excited to work with Simon and the teams at ITM and Bates IT in the next phase of the group’s development, with further acquisitions already in the pipeline.”

What does this mean for our customers?

  • Operationally, it’s business as usual. We remain dedicated to delivering our customers the highest service levels and will continue investing in sustainability, governance, and regulatory compliance.
  • We will deliver an expanded portfolio of complementary services, capabilities, and resources from the wider Group to support ICT technical and managed service requirements.
  • There will be no changes to our current team structure and no disruption to projects and service delivery.
  • Key contacts remain in place and there will be no disruption to projects and service delivery.

We look forward to discussing the new opportunities that this will present to our customers, partners and teams.
