The framework was developed to give all public sector organisations access to suppliers of technology services, such as: technology strategy, service design, transition and transformation and operational services. The framework was designed to service the smallest of IT needs from replacing and managing a small desktop computer estate to the replacement of larger and more critical central government systems, both at the Government’s Official, Secret and Top Secret security classifications. The framework has also been developed as an enabler for the disaggregation of larger government contracts that have been in place for some time.
The framework offers the customer a choice of services through 4 lots. ITM offers its services and expertise under;
Lot 3: Operational Services, 3c: Technical Management.
Network Infrastructure Management
Services for planning, delivering, operating, managing (including security), supporting and monitoring the on premise local area network infrastructure (LAN) and/or its assets. Including but not limited to fixed and wireless devices, routers, switches, firewalls, fibre optic equipment etc). This may take the form of individual services and/or a Network Operations Centre - NOC.
Exclusions are telephony, mobile voice and data services, video-conferencing, audio-conferencing services, integrated communications and wide area network provisioning and connectivity.
